Cocktail drinkers target of attack

Turkey's government yesterday condemned an attack - allegedly by conservative Muslims - on people drinking cocktails in the street outside an Istanbul art gallery.

Culture minister Ertugrul Gunay said he would seek the heaviest punishment for the culprits, who beat and slightly injured five guests.
