Cocaine man fined in court

A MAN has been fined £75 in court for possessing cocaine.

Terry Whiteside, 22, pleaded guilty to having the Class A drug in George Street, Bathgate, on July 31 this year.

Whiteside, of Kirk Road, Bathgate, was sentenced in his absence at Livingston Sheriff Court yesterday.

Alan Jackson, defending, said his client, who is single, had no criminal record and was supported by his father.

Mr Jackson said: "He admitted the matter completely to the police."
