Coalfields fund digging deep

THE closing date is fast approaching for a coalfields regeneration fund available to two Midlothian villages.

The Community Futures Grant Scheme has been set up to provide seedcorn funding for projects and activities in the three participating communities.

Part of the Coalfields Community Futures Programme, a budget of £30,000 is available to community, not-for profit and voluntary groups in Mayfield and Easthouses.

The closing date for applications is Friday, June 8.
