Co-op makes store switch

THE Somerfield store on Longridge Road, Whitburn, is to be changed into a Co-operative store. The change will see £250,000 invested in the shop and an extra ten jobs created.

The conversion comes after the Co-operative Group bought the Somerfield chain last year.

Pupils from St Joseph's Primary will perform a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 26 and receive 200 for school funds.
