Clinic opens up hypnosis therapy list

A CITY health clinic specialising in hypnotherapy has opened up its waiting list after a surge in demand.

The Health All Round facility in Slateford has rejigged its schedule to allow more people access.

The clinic, which is helped financially by the NHS and council, can help patients with a range of problems including quitting smoking and weight loss.

The appointments are free, though the organisation encourages a donation.

A spokeswoman said: "Hypnosis is a totally natural state of relaxation. There is no question of being made to do anything you don't want to do.

"People wishing to use this service should be fully committed to personal change and willing to enter a hypnotic trance if deemed appropriate.

"Those wishing to stop smoking or aid weight management need to commit to a minimum of two sessions."
