City's support for Norway

THE Lord Provost of Edinburgh has sent letters of condolence to Norway after the attacks in Oslo and Utoya Island.

Councillor George Grubb wrote to Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, King Harald V and the Norwegian Honorary Consul General, David Windmill.

Cllr Grubb wrote: "On behalf of the city of Edinburgh, may I express our shock and sadness. Our support and understanding is with you at this time and if there is anything that we here in Edinburgh can do now or in the future, please let me know."
