City's Farmers' Market is ten

THE Edinburgh Farmers Market marks its 10th anniversary today.

A celebratory street party started on Castle Terrace at 9am featuring children's cookery lessons and a demonstration from Katy Ashworth from the Cbeebies show I Can Cook.

Tom Campbell, chief executive of Essential Edinburgh, which organises and manages the event, said: "The market is a terrific success, attracting thousands of visitors every Saturday."
