City's African film festival is reel success

THE Africa in Motion film festival in Edinburgh has received a prestigious international award.

The festival received the award from the Foundation for Subjective Experience and Research (SER Foundation), an organisation that supports worldwide projects.

Africa in Motion 2009 took as its main theme reconciliation, with the festival screening a range of films on this topic as well as hosting a symposium and various panel discussions on trauma, conflict, peace and reconciliation in Africa.
