City women nominated for award

TWO women who work for businesses in the Capital have been shortlisted for a prestigious First Women Award.

The awards recognise women at the top of their professions. Dr Sin George, head of commercial development at marine energy company Aquamarine Power, is in the running for the Science and Technology award, while Business Stream's finance director, Johanna Dow, has been shortlisted in the Business Services category.

The First Women Awards will be announced during a ceremony at the London Marriott in Grosvenor Square on 23 June.

Diana Brightmore-Armour, CEO of corporate banking at Lloyds Banking Group which sponsors the awards, said: "We have tremendous senior female talent operating across diverse sectors in business and public services."
