City to host 9/11 commemoration concert

EDINBURGH will play host to Scotland's first ever "September Concert" next month.

The concert, one of more than 200 around the world commemorating the 9/11 attacks, will feature leading names in Scottish music including Fish and Big Country's Bruce Watson.

The global day of "music for peace" will be marked in the Festival Theatre show with a special free evening of music on September 11 at 7.30pm headlined by acclaimed Scottish choirs, InChorus and the Lothian and Borders Police Choir. The event will be compered by Grant Stott from Radio Forth.
