City tender is set for review

THE body that scrutinises council decisions in Edinburgh is to review the controversial care and support tender.

A report published last week set out the way ahead for the re-tendering of care for hundreds of the city's most vulnerable residents, including a new "checkpoint group" where representatives of service users are involved in decision-making.

The report is now to be forwarded to the city council's audit committee, which will report back later this year.
