City retailers get thumbs-up from Vogue

FASHION experts at Vogue magazine have today listed two Edinburgh retailers in an A to Z of Britain's best boutiques.

Jane Davidson and Pam Jenkins are the only Scottish stores to feature in the guide, which picks 40 of the nation's finest clothing establishments and is printed in April's copy, released today. The boutiques are both located on Thistle Street, which their owners say is an extra bonus.

Sarah Murray, owner of Jane Davidson, said: "This proves Thistle Street really is the place to be.

"We are thrilled to be in Vogue and believe it is thanks to our tried and tested methods, as well as our very loyal customers."

Jane Davidson is this year celebrating its 40th anniversary, having been launched by Sarah's mother, who still lives in the city.

Her neighbours at Pam Jenkins said they were "over the moon" to be featured in Vogue.
