City forum to take on slump

A NEW forum for the Capital's top business leaders was set to be launched today.

The Edinburgh Business Leadership Forum has been set up to help the city's private and public sector come out of the recession.

Members have been chosen from a series of different sectors in order to represent the business interests of the city.

Among the members are Queen Margaret University principal, Dr Petra Wend, Stevenson College principal Brian Lister, Edinburgh Airport managing director Gordon Dewar, Harvey Nichols general manager Gordon Drummond and Deloitte partner John Watt.

The group has been set up by the city council, which is represented by chief executive Tom Aitchison and economic development leader Tom Buchanan.
