City date for author Jones

AUTHOR and politico Owen Jones is set to address an the anti-poverty conference being held at Craigroyston Community High School today.

The writer of Chavs: The demonisation of the ­Working Class will speak alongside Kezia Dugdale MSP, who launched a parliamentary ­motion on pay-day loans, and land ownership expert Andy Wightman.

Mr Wightman, who wrote Who Owns Scotland and The Poor Have No Lawyers, will talk about the rights to ­common land.
