City chef wins Celtic Cook Off
Roy Brett, the chef proprietor of Ondine restaurant on George IV Bridge, fought off competition from Wales, Ireland, the Isle of Man, Cornwall and Brittany to win the inaugural contest.
Mr Brett won the top prize at the ten-day Taste of West Cork Festival with a hot shellfish platter, using fish landed earlier that day by local fishermen.

Hide AdThe award continues a successful year for the Edinburgh-born chef. His restaurant was crowned the Good Food Guide’s Scottish Restaurant of the Year.
Mr Brett said he was keen to see the competition take place in Scotland next year.
