Citigroup to close office

AN EDINBURGH office of the global banking giant Citigroup is to close.

The firm will shut its office at Calton Square, with all of its staff in the city to be based in its Holyrood Road office.

It comes after it emerged last year that the firm was planning to move part of its Edinburgh business to Poland.

Now the firm has confirmed that it will leave its Calton Square office after investment management firm Baillie Gifford agreed to take over its lease.
