Church trust resurrects book store

A CHURCH bookshop which closed this year is to reopen under new management.

The charity Nationwide Christian Trust has negotiated a short-term lease on the former Wesley Owen shop in George Street, owned by the Church of Scotland, and will operate under the name Living Oasis.

Refurbishments are now under way before the shop opens within the next few weeks. Wesley Owen closed down in February after its parent company went into administration.

Living Oasis has reopened 18 other former Wesley Owen shops across the UK.

The shop is expected to provide five or six jobs.
