Christmas site a web hit

A WEBSITE that promoted Edinburgh's Christmas offering has recorded a massive jump in viewings.

The Edinburgh Sparkles website, operated by the Destination Edinburgh Marketing Alliance, received over 16,000 unique visits in the two months around Christmas, a 153 per cent increase on last year.

The campaign included digital and print advertising in Manchester, Newcastle and London airports, as well as on London's Underground, Glasgow Queen Street Station and across the Central Belt.
