Christmas events Advent calendar - Day 11: The Great Edinburgh Santa Run

Every day until Christmas we’re opening another window on our calendar of festive events in Scotland...

The spectacle of hundreds of Santas running laps round Princes Street Gardens (we like to imagine in pursuit of peak fitness for the big night) is one not to be missed.

The Great Edinburgh Santa Run takes place this morning at 10.30am in West Princes Street Gardens, and is in aid of When You Wish Upon A Star, the charity which takes 400 terminally-ill children to Lapland every December to meet the man himself.
