This tragedy comes just two years after a fishing boat went down near Tarbert killing two locals.

A trawler, the Nancy Glen, capsized after a net became filled with mud as it tried to turn in Loch Fyne.

Reports said that previous modifications to the vessel reduced its stability which meant it wasn’t able to perform the manoeuvre.

Duncan MacDougall and Przemek Krawcyk died in the tragedy in January, 2018.
