Chris White’s Facebook statements

Four things that are truly ridiculous about the whole photo situation. How many people have taken photos of their children in Build-a-bear or on rides in Braehead? The police officer even thinking of making reference to the Prevention of Terrorism Act; wondering how many shoplifters got away while my act of terrorism was being dealt with; and the fact that I was clearly shopping and intended to continue shopping at a time when retail sales are at their lowest for over a decade. – 7 October

Braehead have my telephone number and e-mail address, but they still haven’t contacted me about Friday night. – 10 October

As you will have seen Capital Shopping Centres Group PLC have issued a formal apology and said that they have changed their policy on photographs and will allow family and friends to take photographs. I do intend to keep the dialogue going with Capital Shopping Centres and clarify that this applies across all of 14 of their shopping centres including the Trafford Centre and Lakeside. Furthermore, due to the amount of similar stories that have been shared, I feel that there is good cause for people to continue to press for all shopping centres to review their policy of no photographs. – 10 October

Given that a public apology has been issued we want to move to a positive campaign to raise awareness of the need to have a look at policies and procedures in this area. – 12 October

At no stage did I take a photo of a staff member. This allegation was first rumoured after the coverage was made. At no stage have the police questioned me regarding this matter. I am taking this matter forward with my lawyer to find out the truth behind this report. Thank you for your continued support. – 13 October

I again state for the record the only photo I have taken is 2 pictures of my daughter. At no stage have the police or anyone else raised these allegations with myself. – 13 October
