Chorus lines up for auditions

The Edinburgh Festival Chorus is staging an open rehearsal tomorrow night in the hopes of recruiting some new members.

As well as full-time members, chorus master Christopher Bell is looking to compile a list of “extra” singers for occasions when additional voices are required.

The Chorus rehearses at The Hub in Edinburgh on Tuesday evenings from October to June and throughout August’s festival period. Tomorrow night’s open rehearsal begins at 7pm and should finish at 9.30pm. The chorus has been at the heart of the Edinburgh International Festival since its foundation in 1965. Performing with internationally renowned orchestras and conductors, it featured in four concerts in Festival 2012.
