Choir pulls up a pew for church show

A PERFORMANCE by the Scottish Chamber Choir is expected to hit the high notes at St Anne's Episcopal Church in Dunbar next Saturday.

The acclaimed amateur choral group will perform a programme of Eastern European music from the renaissance period as well as some more contemporary pieces.

A church spokesman said: "This is a real coup for the church as it is known to be one of the finest chamber choirs in Scotland.

"The choir takes pride in having a very broad repertoire and performs throughout Scotland. The church, which stands at the harbour end of Dunbar High Street, is known for its fine acoustic."

The concert will get under way at 7.30pm and will be followed by refreshments. Tickets are available at Dunbar Library, the Crunchy Carrot and at the door.
