Choir is just too talented for its venue

A CHOIR that performed on Britain's Got Talent is looking for a new home.

The Forth Valley Chorus is a women's barbershop choir, which featured on the TV talent show on 8 May. Although voted through by the judges, the group was eliminated in the next, untelevised round.

The choir is preparing for its next challenge, competing at an international convention in America, in Seattle in October.

However, the choir is now so popular it has outgrown its current rehearsal space at Saughtonhall Church.

The choir's Margaret Ronald said: "Our numbers have increased to 90 and we need a new rehearsal hall that is big enough to take all our risers, the four platforms that we stand on, which increase in height from the front. Obviously, we can't transport these to rehearsals every week, so the hall would need to have storage facility. They fold down, but they still take up a fair bit of space."

She said the group, was a registered charity, was happy to pay for room rental and storage.

The choir is also raising funds for its trip to Seattle and welcomes donations via its website at www.forthvalleychorus.org.
