Chippings to be removed

A LANDOWNER on the outskirts of Edinburgh has been ordered to remove chippings he laid down at his property.

Mel Stephen put down the stone at his property in Bonaly, but hadn’t sought permission from the city council.

An enforcement notice by the local authority was appealed, but the Scottish Government has now backed the decision.

He had also made a “formation of soil bunds”, and sited a large blue shipping container at his home.
