Children out to protect their futures

Children aged between three and seven marched on the Scottish Parliament dressed up as the professionals they may one day become.

To illustrate Save the Children's No Child Born Without a Chance campaign, the children were dressed as workers ranging from a chef, a builder and even a reporter.

Each child carried a blackboard with their chosen career written on it. Save the Children said there was a 60 per cent gap between the qualifications of children from poorer households and better off classmates.
