Child abuse jokers kicked out of pub in mid-show

A GROUP of comedians have been forced to change venue after being evicted from the Three Tuns pub in the middle of a show for their offensive humour.

The Underground Comedy Invasion had been performing at the Three Tuns venue in Hanover Street since the Fringe started.

But after telling the audience of a request by the venue not to tell a particular joke about child abuse, they found themselves homeless - in the middle of a show.

The extraordinary event saw Canadian comedian Pat Burtscher tell the audience that he had been asked by management not to tell a particular joke.

Before he could get much further in his act, however, a senior member of staff appeared and told him, and the stunned audience, that the show was finished.

The altercation, which happened on Saturday night, was captured on camera and has been posted on internet video site YouTube.

Comic Alex Lasarev, who was also part of the show, said: "He flipped when one of our comedians brought up the fact that the manager had told us not to do jokes about kiddie fiddling.

"We weren't told about any restrictions when we agreed to perform at the Three Tuns, and we never actually told the joke which apparently offended the manager."

No-one from the Three Tuns was available for comment on the situation.
