Chic college fashion show to aid charity

STUDENTS at Edinburgh's Telford College will host a fashion show with a difference in aid of Barnardo's.

HND textiles students have spent months rummaging through Barnardo's shops for clothes and materials which they have woven into chic creations.

The garments will be paraded by the college's own dance students and sold at the end of the night at a silent auction.

The end-of-year fundraising fashion show will take place at the college's Hub tonight at 7.30pm.

Gordana Ross, a HND events management student, said: "This event has brought together a lot of students who are very passionate about what we study, whether it's dance, textile design, photography, graphic design or event management. We hope to use this passion and our creativity to ensure we can raise awareness and a lot of money for a really good cause."

Tickets cost 8 and 6 from the college's reception.
