Chefs savour Taste ticket sales launch

TOP chefs including Tony Borthwick, Paul Wedgwood and Mary Contini got together to launch ticket sales for this year's Taste of Edinburgh festival.

More than 25,000 people are expected to attend the festival on the Meadows, with 15 restaurants due to attend over the weekend of July 1-3.

The line-up includes Mark Greenaway at Hawke & Hunter, the Plumed Horse, Vincaff and Cucina at Hotel Missoni.

There will also be stalls from more than 100 producers and the chance to see cookery demonstrations and classes.

Festival managing director Justin Clarke said: "Taste of Edinburgh is back for the fifth year and with the combination of our original launch venue, the new summer date and some of the finest chefs in the country signed up, this year it really is going to be the most eagerly anticipated festival yet."
