Check out start of club's new chess season

THE inaugural session of Dunbar Chess Club's new season will take place on Wednesday.

In a change from previous seasons, the club intends to compete against rival teams across south-east Scotland as well as running its own in-house league.

All ages and levels of player are welcome to attend the club.

Members meet every Wednesday at Dunbar Bowling Club on Station Road from 7.30pm.

New members can either drop in or call club secretary Chris James on 07733 895 529 for more information.

"If you are interested in finding out more or would like to come along and have a game, now would be a great time to get involved," said a spokesperson. "

All ages and abilities are welcome and there are plenty of chess sets, boards and clocks."
