Cheat Devine home after jail stint

SHAMED former Livingston MP Jim Devine has returned to West Lothian after being freed early from prison.

The 58-year-old was released on Monday after serving just four months of a 16-month sentence for embezzling 8385 and was spotted at his house in Blackburn. He can only leave home between 7am and 7pm and cannot speak to the press.

Devine appeared to have lost weight during his time at Standford Hill Prison in Kent.

Former employee Linda Chatwin, 39, who claimed she was forced to give up her job because of his bullying, said: "I wonder if prison has changed him. It would be nice for him to realise that he treated his staff and constituents appallingly."
