Charity wins lottery cash

A children's cancer charity working in Edinburgh is among 150 Scottish groups to share in over £1.1 million of funding from Awards for All, the National Lottery's small grants scheme.

CLIC Sargent Care for Children received 7259 for furniture in its "Homes from Homes" in Edinburgh and Glasgow to give families visiting their children in hospital a more comfortable stay.

Prestonpans' Prestoungrange Arts Festival was awarded 6400 to develop a community mural project at the local railway station, telling the story of the town's culture and heritage.
