Charity wins at bingo hall

AN investment challenge by a bingo hall has generated more than £500 for charity.

Mecca Bingo in Leith gave fundraisers £50, and told them to make as much money as possible from that in 50 hours, with the proceeds going to Marie Curie Cancer Care.

General manager Gerry Chisholm said: “I was extremely impressed with how the team worked together. Our efforts will help nurses provide free home nursing care and support for terminally ill people.”
