Charity site looks to get people active

A GREEN-minded charity has launched a website pinpointing outdoor areas and environmental projects across the region in a bid to get people active.

The Edinburgh and Lothians Greenspace Trust aims to flag up parks and woodlands around the Capital to get more residents using green areas and improve their quality of life.

Liz Stewart, ELGT fundraising manager, said: "The trust has been expanding over the last year, and we have been working with more communities and reaching more people through our environmental workshops and events than ever before.

"This website is designed to be accessible and informative, and to give people up to the minute information about places to visit and outdoor activities in their local area, so that everyone can benefit from their natural environment."
