Charity shop blaze feared fire raising

A CHARITY shop was badly damaged in a fire that police believe was started deliberately.

A nearby resident and a child were treated for the effects of smoke inhalation following the blaze at the Bethany shop, which raises money for the homeless.

Emergency services were called to the fire in Summerhall Place, Edinburgh, at about 10pm on Saturday evening.
