Charity night raises £1400

A MUSICAL charity evening to support play therapists at the Sick Kids Hospital has raised nearly £1400.

The Jam and Jar took place last month to collect cash for the Teapot Trust, a charity set up in memory of tragic three-year-old Verity Young, who died in 2009.

The show was fronted by popular band Blues In Trouble.

Organiser Norval Barclay said: “It was a great evening which had some terrific musical talent on show, and even a bit of comedy.

“But the key thing is we have raised a handsome sum for the charity.”
