Channel 4 to put £15m into films

Channel 4 is increasing its film financing budget by 50 per cent.

Film4, the broadcaster's film financing arm will have a budget of 15 million a year for the next five years from 2011.

The organisation has been involved in hit movies including Slumdog Millionaire, Trainspotting, Brassed Off and Sexy Beast.
