Chance to go wild in smallest nature reserve

AN exclusive wildlife garden which does not usually allow public access is set to open for one day this weekend.

The Scottish Wildlife Trust's smallest reserve, tucked away at the top of the Patrick Geddes steps between Johnston Terrace and the Grassmarket, will be open on Saturday from 10am-4pm.

The Trust's Julian Warman said: "Johnston Terrace was first created as a place for urban wildlife by the Scottish Wildlife Trust in 1982 and today it is a real gem within our historic city."
