Census hope by humanists

As MILLIONS of people prepare to fill out the census form tomorrow, the British Humanist Association (BHA) said it was confident its campaign had been a success.

Over the past six months, the BHA has been campaigning against "the negative impact" of "misleading census data", and it is hopeful this survey will provide a "more reliable picture of the nation's religiosity".

The organisation has, since last October, run a series of national and local promotions to encourage non-religious people to tick the "No Religion" box on the census form, with the slogan "If you're not religious, for God's sake say so!"
