Celtic footballer questioned over report of baby left in cold in car

Celtic player Charlie Mulgrew has been questioned by police after a baby was allegedly left in a car in freezing temperatures.

Officers were called to the Costco car park, at St Rollox, Glasgow, at about 3:30pm on Wednesday.

It is understood police were contacted by Ultimo lingerie tycoon Michelle Mone.

A spokeswoman for Strathclyde Police said: "Police were called to a report that a baby had been left within a car in the Costco car park at St Rollox in Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and the baby was examined by paramedics at the scene.

"He did not require any medical treatment.

"A full report surrounding the circumstances will be prepared for the procurator fiscal. A 24-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman are the subject of a report to the procurator fiscal."
