Celtic festival gets into step

NEWBATTLE Abbey's Celtic Festival on 29 May is to feature traditional songs, music, dance, workshops on history and storytelling, and craft stalls.

History workshops will include talks on Rosslyn Chapel and an introduction to archeology. There will be Celtic dance workshops and a workshop will be led by a tutor from the Scottish Storytelling Centre.

The free festival will also mark International Year of Biodiversity with outdoor activities on the Abbey's 125-acre estate.
