Catriona's pulling all the strings

Catriona Melville, 15, of George Watson's College, was practising in the grounds of the school yesterday ahead of the 30th anniversary Edinburgh International Harp Festival this weekend.

This year's event will feature concerts covering classical and baroque music as well as South American, jazz and contemporary up-to-date music.

There will also be "Audience with . . ." events featuring well-known and loved performers.

The festival runs until April 13.
