Cat in space suit lands in Capital for art exhibition

AN Edinburgh exhibition is set to showcase the best of 2010's record sleeve designs.

A Cat in a space suit, the image used on the latest Klaxons album Surfing the Void, which won the Best Art Vinyl 2010 prize, will be on show at the Art's Complex, on London Road, as well as in exhibitions across Europe from today.

Caribou's Swim came second, with the relatively unknown German dance label, Cadenza, completing the top three. Previous winners include Muse, Fleet Foxes, Thom Yorke and Hard Fi.

The other two UK exhibitions are to be held at The British Music experience, at the O2 Arena in London, and Georges House Gallery in Folkestone. In Europe, Best Art Vinyl exhibitions are also on show in Paris, Brussels and Gothenburg.

The 2010 winners are a diverse mix of art and design.
