Cash boost to detect cancer

MILLIONS of pounds will be injected to Lothians health services to improve the diagnosis of cancer.

Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon wants to improve the rate the disease is picked up in the early stages by 25 per cent.

This, she said, will save lives and mean fewer people are receiving treatment too late.
