Carollers go back to roots

RESIDENTS in Midlothian are being urged to join in the festive fun at a traditional concert of Christmas carols.

Brass Roots, Loanhead's brass band, will welcome the festive season with a concert at Loanhead Library next Wednesday.

Councillor Peter Boyes, Cabinet Member with responsibility for libraries, said: "There's nothing better than indulging in a bit of carol singing to get into the festive spirit."

Free tickets for the event, which starts at 7.30pm, can be obtained from Loanhead Library.
