Caring pair in running for top awards

TWO Edinburgh women are to be honoured at a prestigious awards ceremony celebrating the best in the care industry.

Gail Syratt from Bluebird Care has been chosen as a finalist for the care manager of the year award.

The care manager at Bluebird Care in Edinburgh said: "This is such a wonderful surprise.

"Being nominated is recognition from my colleagues and customers for all of the hard work put in during the past year."

Marion Muir from Scot Homecare in Edinburgh has also been selected as a finalist in the service users' employee of the year category.

The support worker said: "I'm really looking forward to the ceremony and even if I don't win, just being nominated has made me feel really appreciated."
