Care home boss warned over racist abuse

A NURSING home manager launched a tirade of racist abuse at a Bulgarian woman who was using her home as a gym.

Eleanor Copeland was living underneath the eastern European family who were causing such a noise that she ended up racially abusing her neighbour during one argument last April.

Copeland, from Musselburgh, is manager at the Braeburn care home, in Inverleith Terrace, which caters for the elderly suffering from dementia.

Sheriff MacMillan decided to admonish the care home manager during a hearing at Haddington Sheriff Court earlier this week.
