Care centre plan for site

COUNCIL land in Colinton is to be leased to a private firm to allow for the development of a day care centre for people with autism.

The city council has agreed to a 35-year lease for Tiphereth Limited at a site on Torphin Road.

The company will pay a rent of 3800 a year for the 0.15 acres of land.

Two neighbouring sites are also to be leased to the company, which intends to relocate its main composting operations to the site at an "open market rent" that is to be agreed at a later date.
