Car on way to Tanzania

A CHARITY based in the Capital has received an unusual donation for a community project in Tanzania - a 13-year-old Renault Megane.

Marie Duguid, 27, who did volunteer work in Tanzania during a gap year, donated the car to Children of Songea through the Giveacar initiative.

The workspace co-ordinator at The Melting Pot in Edinburgh said: "I have had my car since I turned 17, so I wanted to make sure she had a fitting end."
