Capital man's marathon bid for charity

A MAN who felt compelled to raise money for a bone marrow charity after seeing it featured in the news is to take part in the London Marathon.

Edinburgh-based Pete Wilcock, 28, will participate in the event to raise funds for the Anthony Nolan Trust, which pairs up bone marrow donors with those in need of a transplant.

He said: "I think it's great knowing that the average person could help save someone's life. I felt instantly compelled to sign up on the off chance that I might be a match."
